New day, new place!
And so I was in Delhi for Christmas, just for a couple of days though, but that wasn’t enough to keep the Christmas spirit away from me, or trying out a new eateries of the town since the time I last left. One such place was Wok In The Clouds, CP. For WITC, I already had been quite a many times to their Khan Market outlet, so it was a bit justy for me to not be skeptic about the place and just sway in for a Christmas Lunch. Other than the Khan Market and CP outlets, they are present in Punjabi Bagh and Rajouri Garden; all in Delhi.
I loved what they did with the place and how well they have utilised the area. The seating was very well managed, the bar was well equipped and well placed. This casual dining and bar is situated on the 1st floor of the C block (inner circle) in Connaught Place. They specialises in North Indian, Continental, European and Chinese cuisines. What I had here and what I enjoyed here are more or less the same. My exuberant time here, full of exquisite dishes and drinks made my experience here very elaborative.
The table was set, we were settled and the order was placed & the drinks and food started coming in. We ordered for puree of wild mushroom soup, watermelon feta cheese salad, chilli garlic prawns, chicken dim sums, mushroom caps, crunchy dahi sticks, nachos, paneer tikka masala, chicken tikka makhani, oreo shake, beetroot shikanji, negroni and barrel aged old fashioned.
Starting with the salad, it was pretty amazing, all in ingredients balance, mixing, quality, quantity and presentation. In fact, this I can say for almost all the things that we ordered. And there were some surprise packages too in the order, like beetroot shikanji, honestly we were a bit skeptic for it but we went for as per the in house recommendation and surprisingly it was very refreshing. In drinks Negroni and Old Fashioned being the classics, but was very well prepared. Paneer tikka masala and Chicken tikka makhani were the meals for main course, both being served with dal makhani and lachha paratha & garlic naan respectively. At last, speaking of the remaining munchies, I can vouch for crunchy dahi sticks and mushroom caps as the rest was not consumed by me, being a vegetarian.
